Personalised day services for people with disabilities

One Trust is an independent charity based in South West London, offering fun, engaging and personalised day services for adults with learning disabilities. Held back by a site that did nothing to encourage enquiries or assist their users, they enlisted us to redesign their website.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with OrangeGrove , we are thrilled with our new website and have received a lot of positive feedback from our stakeholders. From our initial meeting, Louisa took the time to understand One Trust in order to advise how to best reflect the personal nature of the service we provide. Our challenge was to attract social care professionals, whilst retaining a simple design and fully accessible features for service users with a broad range of disabilities and their family carers. Louisa provided endless advice and support around accessibility issues which has helped us to optimise the site’s function for our 3 main (and very different) user groups. The finished product is simple yet striking. Orangegrove have provided comprehensive training on how to maintain the site, and matching stationery and promotional materials which are already yielding results. We are very happy with every aspect of Orangegrove’s work with us, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their competitive, professional, thorough and personalised services.

The brief

This was a complex redesign project as there were three user groups of differing needs and abilities. We worked with One Trust to identify these groups clearly including what their priorities would be on the site. We then had to combine them with One Trust’s overall goals for the site to create a solution that worked for everyone.

The site needed to engage users and help them find the information they were after in the easiest way, whilst encouraging people to join up. The user journey and design needed to cater for less technically able audiences as well as the more tech savvy, so it was important the website was simple to use and fully accessible to enable those with limiting disabilities to continue to use the website without barriers.

As a new site we continue to monitor it for conversions and will review visitor numbers and conversions once enough data has been collected. However the new site can be seen to achieved the following:

  • Gains the audience’s trust
  • Converts more visitors to enquiries
  • Sets them apart from their competition
